Valentines Dance

I mentioned in the last post about our crazy week. Our talks about strengthening relationships went really well, I thought. I felt good about it. Next in the line up was the decorations for our Ward Valentines Day party. I had some lovely ladies helping me make the decor, then many more help set up. But I was soooo pleased with the way these fans turned out.

The garland at the top is from doilies stapled together and behind them there are Christmas lights. It was a nice effect. Then the flowers, while they look tiny in this picture are really big and fluffy tissue paper flowers.
So, I was thinking that a Ward Dance would just be two degrees more awkward than a Stake Dance. It was the funnest Ward Party I have ever been to. I got to dance all night (embarrassing more than one family member, I am sure). I danced with all of my kids, I got to dance with Travis, with some friends. I got to bust out my Cotton Eye Joe after 15 years. It was just really fun. Was I one of the only adults dancing, sometimes. Was I dancing even when I wasn't suppose to, probably. Have I ever had moves, not really. But I had fun!!!
Lydia, for those of you who may know, busted out all her moves on the last song. That girl can shake it!
