Open the floodgates

I don't like to post without a picture, but I am having camera troubles. I could devote an entire post to my technological woes, but that is depressing.
Things since school started have been pretty different, but great. It has been heavenly having a schedule-who would've guessed.
Zoe is really liking school and is a little less tired each day. The first week was tough on her. It was actually harder on me than I thought it would be. I was sad to think of her being gone as much as she will be. I miss her. It seems the little time we have together each day is spent in a struggle: getting hair done, outfits picked out, lunch packed, homework done, and reading time. It seems a bit much for one not even 7, but I have realized while working on homework with her that homeschooling would NEVER work out between us. We love each other, and drive each other crazy!
Liam is doing well, also. He has trouble some days when it is time for school, but we get to go into his class with him and read books with him to start his day. It makes it a little easier when it is time to say goodbye. He is really obsessed with Legos right now. I love it, because I love building with him. He is very good about picking up all his Legos and taking good care of them. It is really cute. Also, he must say ten times a day "am I getting Legos for my birthday?".
Lydia. Wow. There is a little ball of energy and spunk. She is really loud and opinionated. She will scream like a police siren if she is crossed. I look at her, totally exasperated, but can't get mad, she is too funny. I am having a fun time with her, when the kids are away. It is nice to look at books and sing songs. I even had her cook with me the other day. Usually there is too much going on to try to involve her, but we had so much fun.
Travis and I have been busy every Saturday for the last month with church service. It has been wild. I have never been so busy- it isn't even calling stuff. The service was all in addition to calling stuff. Maybe I will give specifics later.
We are all well, though. I've missed posting.

I've just had to check out your blog since I saw it on Kristen's (Bond) over a month ago. I just wanted to say hi, even though it's been years. It's really fun to take a peek into old friend's lives. Your kids are so cute. I can tell from your blog you are such a fun mom.

I'm totally with you on the homeschool thing--I considered it, but after a disastrous attempt at piano I realized it was never meant to be . . .
