Zoe got to go on a "date" with Ms. Baker, her teacher last year (Liam's teacher this year). They really connected last year and Ms. Baker said she was missing Zoe and could she take her to go get her nails done. Zoe woke up the morning of her date and said, "What should I wear on my date?" She had so much fun! We also got to have Ms. Baker have dinner with us.

Since Travis was gone (out of town conference at Catalina island, boo hoo) I took the L's (as Zoe calls them) out for ice cream. Lydia held her ice cream like that the entire time and it never fell off, amazing! Liam loved his Rainbow "starbur" (sherbert?).
We are happy to have Daddy home after three nights away. Aren't we wussy's?

What a nice teacher!
You're not wussy. My husband's been gone five nights now, and I'm going completely BESERK. (The kids are getting tired of me, too).
Great post, Melissa. What a fun thing for Zoe to have connected with her teacher in that way. And my reaction to the image of that icecream cone epitomizes my life as a mom--the deep urge to straighten it out myself (to keep it from falling)won over only by the even deeper urge to let the baby have her own cone. You know what I mean? Adorable pictures. Adorable children. I am glad you have Travis back. I love you guys.
How cute your kids are and how fun for Zoe. At this age they just love there teachers and for them to love her so much is a great complimant!!!! Miss you guys. Need to get together for lunch, play date or somdething!! Dinner group just isn't enough!!!
