spill the beans

We had Buzzie here for 3 weeks total. She gives a good description of the trip from her perspective, on her blog. We mostly just did our usual stuff and sometimes she came with us. She was helpful at distracting the kids. As pictured, doing Legos with Liam.

Barbies with Zoe. I was amazed at the length of time she could play Barbies. I get agitated after 5 minutes, but they would play for an hour at a stretch sometimes.

Also, Buzz helped out with the dishes which was HUGE! And several times stayed with the kids while I ran an errand, or went somewhere with Travis. That was very nice.

Buzz and I got to go out one night for Thai food and miniature golf. She had never played mini-golf! So we had to go!

We went swimming quite a bit, and to the movies. But a lot of our evening were spent watching Olympics and other favorite shows.

I enjoyed re-living some of the things that were a big part of our growing up: old movies we loved, singing old musicals, family jokes, memories, and of course, what Samuelson's are really good at, eating food we loved.
