Heave a sigh of relief

I cannot lie. I am really excited for school. There are many reasons for this.
1. I am excited for a schedule. Although we started strong at the beginning of the summer, once Mom and Buzz came, it all went out the door.
2. The kids are bored out of their minds. I am really tired of trying to keep them busy.
3. I love school! I really wish it were me going back to grade school. I am jealous.

Last week we went and visited Liam teacher, Ms. Baker, who you may recall was Zoe's teacher last year. Also, we visited Zoe's 1st grade teacher, Mrs. Hunter (who goes to our church). Both the kids have a great set up. I think it will be a great year!

I do have to say, the kids have been great about entertaining themselves outside with water. We have some big storage bins that they fill up with water and use as swimming pools. I am so amazed that they are all in together! They stayed in there for awhile, too.
As a child, you must find creative ways to entertain yourself. I remember as a kid trying to dig a hole in the sand box big enough to make a swimming pool. Of course we only succeeded in turning the sandbox into a big muddy mess (which we played in anyway).

I am right with you, bring on the schedule! I didn't know Zoe was going to have Sis. Hunter - how fun, I bet she is a great teacher!!!

I love that picture of Lydia. Cutie.

I also wish I were going back to school--and I LOVE shopping for school supplies. One of my friends was telling me how they just scrounge around the house to find stuff and I thought, "But school supplies are the BEST PART!"

Okay, I know I just commented, but thinking of school supplies--remember Trapper Keepers? I wanted one with horses on the front or something, but my mom made me get just a regular binder. I was completely heartbroken.

That's what summer is all about! Play, play, play, no schedule, sit in storage containers of water, and longing for a schedule and school to start. Love it! What cuties!
