from the mouths of babes

Lydia:
She has always called Mickey Mouse, "Mickey Nose".
She insists on calling bananas, "baneenas". And Nana is "Neena".
When something is scary she shakes and says, "it's gary"!
"polka nots"

Zoe (pictured with friend Kaitlin)
While bearing her testimony tonight and feeling rather exuberant, "I know everything in the entire world is true, except the things that aren't"!

Liam:
"taste bugs"
"hand cups"
Liam has been really cracking me up lately because he is constantly talking about his brother, Felix. It is true when we were expecting early this year we did refer to the non-existent child, "Felix the Fetus". But we have explained this to Liam that I am NOT pregnant, but he still is constantly talking about Felix. I don't discount that children are closer to the veil and that he could know something I don't. When people ask about our family, he mentions his brother Felix. He is always asking, "How old will I be when Felix is four"? He talks about getting bunk beds when Felix is born, etc. The greatest, though was tonight when talking about Felix he said, "I know, Felix is in the future".
Liam is pictured with friend Jayden, not brother Felix.

Liam's comments about Felix remind me of Zoe's first laugh as a baby. Those kids just know. Call us after the pregnancy test . . .

Melissa, I had no idea about your loss of Felix, I am sorry. It sounds as though you might be expecting again or soon. (According to Liam, anyway.) I love the way kids think!

Zoe's exuberance, Liam's vision, and Lydia's unique pronunciation: your life is a rainbow of experience! (I think Zoe's definition of testimony covers it pretty well.)
