Surprising realizations about moving to Idaho

Tillamook comes in 5 pound blocks, y'all!
This is the view from Zoe's window. There is a little pond with a fountain.
Liam coming home from the first day of school saying "dang". He said, "they used lots of funny words like, "flippn'" and "dang". C'mon people, don't you know what a stereotype that is?

The excitement of the first snow.

Finding 3 brand new pairs of Anne Taylor jeans at D.I. for 5 bucks each!

Leaving the butter dish in the cupboard, rather than the fridge so that it is easier to spread, but it being so cold, it isn't easier to spread.

Amazing sunrises and sunsets!

Freezing nose hairs (you know what I am talking about!)

Super Walmart in all it's glory!

Icicles!

It takes forever to go anywhere. Granted we live a little further out than before, but get on hats, scarves, gloves, coats, etc. takes a lot of time! Also, driving in the snow takes a long time.

Getting the kids up while it is still pitch black outside. They are waiting for the bus before the sun even comes up!

We love being by family!
I have lived in Dallas, Texas (home of the Cowboys), and Fresno, CA (home to a FS Bulldogs) and I don't remember ever seeing as crazed fans as BSU fans here. I mean not only people sporting the logo and blue and orange but stores devoting entire sections to Broncos gear. I have seen blue and orange taffy, corn chips, choc covered peanuts and even a Broncos snuggie!

Oh the freezing of the nose hairs. We will be able to experience that very soon. The other one is freezing mascara and then having it melt and run. HaHa. Oh flip! Miss you guys!

HA!! Coming from California to your house I had NEVER heard "Dang" used to mean "very". And you guys used it ALL the time. Now your own kids are experiencing the weirdness of it. How funny.

So happy for you to be close to family! That's awesome. (I'm jealous!)

I will be in your neck of the woods for Christmas visiting the in-laws. Are you going to be around? I would love to come caroling at your door!

Dang! I know exactly what you're talking about on all of those. Isn't Idaho great?

Boy, you want freezing nose hairs? Come visit us in Rexburg! During that cold snap we had a few weeks ago, I sent my guys off to school & work one day: the temp was -11. Yikes!

And yes, 'Bronco Nation' as many call Boise, is team-spirit-insane, especially on years when the Broncos are doing well. You just moved there in the right year!
