Travis had a home visit he had to make on Friday for work with a couple that lives right next to Pismo Beach. Brave soul that he is, decided to take the 3 oldest kiddos. It is a 3 hour trip, and if you recall, our kids are prone to motion sickness.
It turns out that they had a wonderful time building sand castles, looking for seashells, and splashing in the water. They weren't there long, just long enough to satisfy that beach craving. Looking at these pictures make me really wish I could've gone. Bless Travis for making that sacrifice to give me a little brake and make the kids feel extra special.
Felix and I stayed home for a quiet day. I got to go to lunch with my
friend and although I was suppose to use the day to rest up, I couldn't resist the alone time and I went and got a bunch of beautiful California strawberries and made some
freezer jam.
