Christmas Blessing

Every once in awhile you find yourself in a situation that is laughably pitiful. At the beginning of December my pot/pan situation was as pictured above: one handle less pot, one steamer pot used as a colander, one 2 cup pot. We did have a frying pan with flaking Teflon that we decided we HAD to throw away.
Recently I made spaghetti. Due to my one pot I had to cook the noodles, remove noodles from pan, wash pan. Brown meat in pan, remove from pan, wash pan. Cook sauce, add meat, warm. Anyway you see the process. I was beginning to share my situation with friends and family because it was so laughably pitiful.
Well, as you can see we were the humble recipients of a fabulous new set of pots. We now have 3 frying pans, 3 smaller sauce pans, a stock pot with steamer basket, and a large shallow pot! I can't even tell you how fun it is to cook. I mean I get excited to make a fried egg. Also, I made spaghetti last night-with side dishes-without washing anything in between! We are so grateful for the selfless gift given to us. It makes such a big difference in our lives, really! Thank you to our "secret" Santa and the wonderful Spirit of the season that inspires such blessings in the lives of those with pitiful pot situations.

Good pots are one of those simple but sincere joys.
