Is there anything as nice as the first cool day after summer? We have had 95 degree days up until last week. Yesterday was downright chilly @ 70 degrees. Of course, it is sunny California and still incredibly pleasant to be outside.
After dropping Liam off at Kindergarten around lunch, Lydia and I headed to Trader Joe's and bought my favorite Sweet Corn and Roasted Pepper Soup (unfortunately they hadn't gotten in their shipment of Apple Cider, yet). We came home, and I had grilled cheese and TJ's soup, snuggled up in my soft pink robe.
I hate to admit to these little moments when I think of my husband slaving away at work and the kids at school. I feel really lazy. But I am sure they are happy for me enjoying comfort food and the season change.
The kids have been so excited for Autumn this year. Lydia is excited about pumpkins and bats. A couple of our neighbors decorate their yards. We had some orange lights, so last night I had the kids help me put them up on the tree. We had fun playing outdoors. I had to get the winter coats out.

By the weay I don't know if I ever thanked you for turning me onto the sweet corn soup and the tomato soup at trader Joes!!! They are so good. I didn't know about the Apple cider Im going to have to try that also.
I have been having to stock up on winter gear. We have snow gear and then just warm gear. I have been buying the girls lots of cute tights that they will wear all winter long under their jeans. Enjoy the "cool" weather our week was in the 50's. Yikes!
Dang. We don't have cold weather or trader joe's. Still, wouldn't you like to move back here? oxox
How have I lost your email? I have a photo of Steve and me that I wanted to email to you.
When do I get to see you again?
