On Saturday we headed over quite early to Chuck E. Cheese. We didn't eat but spent the morning playing there. Needless to say, a good time was had by all. It was the first Saturday in months that we haven't had any other obligations. It felt good to take our time hanging around. We got Jamba Juice and walked around until it was time to go home for naps :)
Monday: We always waited until evening to open presents but Travis made the point that Liam should enjoy the entire day. So when he woke up he came in our room and opened his gifts. He has been talking about his birthday legos for months. After we got Travis off to work and Zoe off to school he immediately wanted to start building. We spent the entire morning building Batman's motorcycle and Harley Quinn's car. I love building with him.
Liam got to take treats to school. He chose sherbet push-ups. He was excited about that. He refused the birthday hugs offered to him by Miss Baker, but wore the birthday crown for most of the day.
He chose pizza for dinner and a chocolate Lego cake. He had a great day and was really happy. At the end of the day he kept telling everyone how much he loved them. As a bedtime story I got out his baby book and we looked at every page and talked about it. I spent a lot of time on his baby book and it was very fun to share that with him. He wanted to look at it again the next night, too.

Yum! Lego cake! Liam is a man after my own heart...I love Legos, too. Great report on such a fun birthday.
Happy Birthday Liam! He really is so adorable. I love that he loves Legos. Great Lego cake too BTW, I love it and what a fantastic idea!
Love the cake. Look at you! What a great birthday!
Wow. Did you do it right this time! That's how I feel when I'm so happy -- I love everyone.
He COULDN'T cut one of the Lego dots in half. A "piece" is obviously defined by the "bump."
You good mommy and daddy!
What a great idea looking at a baby book is! Perfect way to celebrate little people. I wish we had baby books for our kids . . .
