I had the most amazing and perfect birthday. Do you really want to know how spoiled I am? I feel a little bad gloating, but I want to document this wonderful birthday.
Travis got up with the kids so I could sleep in a bit. Just before they left for school I came down to cards, and gifts (a trench, 3 KINDS! of bubble bath, roses, and a Joanne gift card).
Travis had gotten the day off. Richard and Laura had offered to take Felix, so we dropped him there on our way out shopping.
I got some boots I have been really wanting (thanks Mimi and Pa!) and we got to do some other shopping. We got to go to lunch and just have a mellow day. Frankly, having Travis home was the greatest present. Not only did it mean I didn't have to do the "mom" things that make it not really seem like a birthday, but I got him around all day (which is my favorite thing!).
We just had a quiet night with the kids. Some leftover dinner. Travis wanted to buy me a dessert but I am too picky and cheap, so I made some brownies and we had brownie fudge sundaes. Then I played hide and seek with the kids while Travis did the dishes.
I got so many cards, texts, phone calls, well wishes, and gifts, it made me feel so special.
I love celebrating anything. Birthdays are especially good. I had an amazing day! Thanks to all who made me feel loved and special!

Happy Birthday! What an awesome hubby. I haven't experienced a bday with the hubby off; it sounds heavenly to escape mom for the day! Glad it was a good one:)
