Top ten favorites from our trip: #10 Grandma and Grandpa Sam's house

One of my earliest memories is hiding in this mailbox in my parents house. We moved to the house when I was 5. I couldn't fathom that I could fit in this tiny box when I was 5! So when I got there I asked Lydia if she could fit in...she did!
Zoe asked Grandma Sam if she could help make some Brown Sugar Vanilla Ice Cream (mom's specialty). We were all happy that they did.
A couple years ago at a family reunion the family all helped put up this swing set/play set in the back yard. We were happy to put it to good use. My kids have never played on it!
Other things that we liked about Sam's house:
Pantry with unlimited desirable food that rarely makes an appearance at our house (I can't be trusted with Nutella)
Playing with all of Sam's amazing toys!
Playing with Gma and Gpa Sam
Cats
Having someone else cook dinner
Movie night
Grandpa's press room
In my parents house almost every wall has a book shelf on it. Books are a huge deal in my family. So, this time while visiting I was noticing all the books. I felt like I was in a library where all of the books were picked out to appeal to my particular tastes. I would find a bookshelf that had a series of childrens books, or a favorite author, or a topic that I want to know more about. It really was a beautiful thing. I enjoyed that.
Thanks for letting us stay!
