First Races!

I ran my first race over Mother's Day weekend. It was the Race for the Cure 5K run. Travis ran with me. We had a lot of fun. We were able to run in celebration of Travis's paternal grandmother, who was diagnosed with breast cancer last year, but is doing really well.

I have told myself my entire life that I couldn't run. I started last July and have been slowly proving myself wrong. It felt really good to accomplish this goal I had set for myself. It makes me wonder what else I "can't" do that I would really actually enjoy doing!

Zoe also ran her first race this month. She and her friend Alexis ran together. It was a mile run. They finished so fast, we didn't get to see her run. Travis was out of town and Shawna agreed to come help. It took us awhile to get from our parking spot (with the 3 kids)to the finish line. But we met up with her there and she got to go around a get some fun goodies for those that participated.
