Girls weekend

Shawna and I left early Thursday morning and headed to Park City. We had a lovely trip down. The time absolutely FLEW. Not only is Shawna wonderful company, but I wasn't having to do all the things you do when traveling with munchkins.
Our girls weekend started with a birthday party. Thursday was my Grandmothers 89th birthday. We had extended family come to my sisters home. It was crazy to see some cousins, aunts, and uncles I haven't seen forever!

There is such an amazing view from their backyard, AND we had good weather. We couldn't help but to be outside enjoying ourselves.

Shawna, Jill, and I even managed a morning run two of the mornings. Elisabeth joined us one morning. The views were so beautiful, however, the hills were not very kind to me, a novice runner.

We did have a couple days of shopping. Of course we hit Ikea and the outlets.

Sushi.

Me with two of my SIL's, Laura and Jen. We were so sorry that Sarah and Andrea couldn't come. One of these years we will get everyone there.

Not pictured are two wonderful nights spent in the hot tub chatting until past midnight.

I actually didn't get many pictures and I think I was one of the only ones taking pictures. We were having such a good time, we didn't think to stop to take pictures.

I usually do a top ten things I enjoyed on a trip. Usually it includes fun things that we did. This trip was more about meaningful conversations I had, surprising things I found out about people, and just the great feelings of sisterhood. When I say sisterhood, my mother and grandmother are included in that statement.

I also got to momentarily visit my dear friend Molly whom I have known since 4th? grade. It was brief but meaningful to me.

Bless my angel husband who not only supports me on these trips but encourages me to go and enjoy myself. Even when the kids are throwing up and being cranky.

I had such a great time! I would have a hard time naming the top ten of the weekend as well. You all are so fun and easy to talk to, I'd have to say all the great conversations were the high point and since that permeated every activity... of course, it always helps to be sitting in a hot-tub while conversing --or should I say warm-tub (thanks for accommodating us pregos!)
I love this family! It saddens me to know that not all families are so wonderful. What amazing and wonderful husbands we have to support us in this as well!
Thank you for at least attempting to document our weekend Melissa! I'm afraid I didn't even try, so I may need to make a link to this post on my blog.

Good Job posting! I loved seeing all of my sisters. We have the best family ever!

By the way Melissa, I LOVE the notes you left on my little white board in my room. They make my day every time I look at them.

You are beautiful and amazing. Thank you for being such a great example.

Awesome post. Even with the sinus infection & altitude sickness, I had the best time. I love the women in this family so much! Wish we could do this more than once a year.

Todd especially likes the photo of you & Grandma (he really wants to see Grandma). I like the one at the sushi bar where I'm looking sick and extremely flushed. Pregnancy is awesome.

love you,
jen
