So after talking to some of my friends recently I found out that I am not the only one who wants to learn to re-upholster furniture. I have had a set of chairs for about 7 years that I have wanted to recover. I realized that I would never do it without some moral support and some helpful feedback.
So, why not throw a re-upholstering party for interested persons? That is my answer for everything!
Jen, rocking the power tools. She was the only one who actually stapled that night. Brave soul.
Shawna, a tad frusterated with her chair. There were so many staples, and other obstacles to really getting that thing deconstructed.
I had deconstructed mine earlier in the week. I finished sewing the pieces but then got too scared and distracted to actually staple my chair. I WILL finish it, though. And then I will post it on my craft blog, which I will also rename.

Love the fabric. Wish I could come to the re-upholstering party. I so want to learn how to do this too.
And which I un-stapled. Did you know the link to your craft blog is actually a link to youtube? I can see what distracts you.
I fixed the link. That is hilarious. I was sending the Youtube link to YOU, so actually it was you that was distracting me :)
Wow! That is amibition Melissa! Hope it gets finished:)
Looks so great!!! That staple gun looks real scary, though.
awesome fabric and the color is gorgeous! if i had my dream house..my colors would be cream, red (i have the red couches already) and splashes of that shade of green. Of course I had random bits of all those colors, but it doesn't seem to look like the magazines do!
LOL Love the pictures!! This was a fun night!
