My brother gave us an apple tree. So Saturday Travis dug a beautiful hole and we planted her. The kids were really excited about having a tree, but not quite as excited to help me get all the rocks separated from the soil before putting it back in.
and there were lots of them.

This is neat, but mostly I'm jealous that none of my brothers has ever given me an apple tree. :)
Ooh, I know how NOT fun sorting out river rock can be!
I find paying my kids a ridiculously low amount of money motivates them. Not forever, but for about half an hour. (ex. 1 penny a rock...or if you want to splurge...5 cents a rock).
