This video was taken before Christmas.
So much about this video makes me laugh. My overly dramatic singing in the background. The song I am singing. My complete obliviousness about being filmed. The television noises in the background. My (feigned) fury when I find the camera. But the funniest thing about this non-eventful video is what the purpose behind it was.
Travis had come and asked me to help him get a certain large present out of his car. Zoe knew what we were doing and was investigating to see if she could figure out what the present was. She had been asking questions all morning. So, she took the camera and put it at the top of the lower level of stairs, pushed record, in hopes that she would catch us bringing something in and then view the video later.
Hilarious! What a little sneak!
In my shameless attempt to get some comments I will ask, can you: identify the song? guess what the present was? guess what Zoe thought it was? Or just leave me a comment because you love me and you want me to know you are there.

Hilarious! My favorite part was the "what!" at the end. I would have been yelling for a while. Glad to see you have a sense of humor about it. Oh, and I couldn't figure out what song you were singing, but it sounded pretty.
Trampoline :)
Oh wait - I really know the answer so I won't spoil it for others!
Oh I almost forgot! "Ya'll need to hide your kids, hide your wives, and hide your husbands" :)
That is hilarious! Who knew that kid would get so famous off his over dramatic news report. And now suburban mom's are singing beautiful reditions of his words! Haha! Zoe is quite a smart thinker. My question is, what was playing on the tv in the background? Loved the, "what?!" too, btw. That was classic. Thanks for sharing. :)
I can't see the video? Where is it? I am desperate!!!!
Okay- got the link...that is too funny! What was the present? And the song?
after further review..."climbin in your windows, snatching your people up..." I love the folksy rendition you give to that auto-tuned/Urban classic. Wow. I would hate to see what a hidden cam in my house would pick up!
I know we heard the story first-hand, but I'm glad you posted the video--that was indeed a fine performance of an auto-tuned classic...and was that Charlie the Unicorn I detect in the background at the very end?
I think that girl is a genius! I just hope mykids never figure that out!!! Love your singing and miss you!
