I was awakened by my lovely family bearing cards and breakfast. They had all gotten up early to get everything ready before they left for school. I felt very loved.
Travis had gotten the day off, which is the biggest present ever (spending the day with my hubby). He also got the kids up, made lunches, dressed and fed the little ones and let me have a shower without getting interrupted by children multiple times! Talking about spoiled!

My sister in law, Laura watched Lydia and Felix for us while we went to lunch at a great Vietnamese Deli. It was so fabulous I took a picture! The Spring rolls had already been consummed at this point. Then we headed over to our favorite Antique Mall.

I had made a Pomegranate Cheesecake (pictured without the pom glaze) and we celebrated my 33rd birthday. I love birthdays and all the love I feel from friends and family. Thanks to everyone who made it special!
Oh ya, that is a fun birthday hat I got!

Wow! That's quite the hat! It would definitely keep the sun (or rain for that matter) off you and probably your whole family too. A pomegranate cheesecake sounds delish! With that combination, how could you go wrong?
And honestly, watching the kids was my pleasure (with the help of HP puppet pals, it was a breeze -too bad they can't try that in nursery). I hope you had a wonderful birthday! We're so glad we live close to you guys!
Yay. Happy birthday Melissa! That cheesecake looks amazing. :)
Hubby off work on your birthday, that is the best!
I agree the best present would be to have my husband home for the day. Happy late Birthday...your a gorgeous lady and a fantastic mom!
I'm so glad you were born.
I have Birthday neglect guilt. Sorry for my slovenly habits that lead me away from important days. More to the point: When they (I) tabulate the great days of my life, the day of your birth and all of its ensuing blessings and all that has followed will rank right up there at or near the top. How grateful I am for my wonderful daughter and what she has made/ is making of her life. Happy Birthday, Melissa. I love you. Dad.
