Zoe's room makeover

I am just kicking myself that I didn't take a before picture. It was a plain little bedroom with too much furnature in it.
I had decided that Zoe needs her own room for a little while. The friction between Zoe and Lydia could be greatly diminished by them each having their own space. So I dedided to do it as a surprise for Zoe's birthday. Also, by having my husband and his parents around would allow up to do it all in one day.
So we spent Monday and Tuesday shopping. I hadn't chosen any colors or anything, so Mimi and I got to figure that all out. It was so fun to go shopping for everything in so short a time.
We waited until she was headed off to school on Wednesday and painted, rearranged, and hung things until it was finished right before she got home.
We found this adorable bedspread and decided to paint a super light green (Aspen).

We got the mirror, throw (super comfy) blanket for the reading space, throw pillow, and storage cube.

Cute little polka dot sheers.
She was speechless.

Fabulous job! I can't believe you did it that fast. What a cool surprise. It must be fun to be a home owner:)

What a great room! Caleigh would love to have her own room, I better not rub it in that Zoe has her own. Great Party ideas and birthday fun.
