The kids found this HUGE toad in our yard the other day. We were trying to establish if it was dead or not. A tossed a couple rocks in its general direction to see if it would hop off. It didn't even blink. After awhile we had quite a few kids gathered around to see it. When we tried to shovel it into a box it jumped. It was very alive. It was so great to hear those kids squeal. I wish I would've had a video documenting the fun the kids had with that toad.
There is a little family of ducks that live in the neighborhood. I often see them on my morning run, showering in the sprinklers. They were passing by last night, so Lydia came and got some bread to feed them.
