I remember once, when I was little we made little mailboxes at home and spent the month filling them with little notes and treats for each other. This has become one of our favorite valentine traditions. The kids love decorating their containers, and thinking of different things to put into the "mailboxes". They were pretty excited about reading their notes. Zoe had spent a lot of time making everyone multiple page books with little pictures and poems inside.

Travis always spoils me, any chance he gets. So, although we had decided we wouldn't buy gifts for Valentines day, he came home with roses and a food magazine (he knows me so well). Also, he had taken my wedding ring and had it engraved. What an amazing husband I have!

That is a great tradition! These are the little things Richard never tells me about. The flowers are lovely too, way to go Travis.
Love the little box idea! What a great way to serve each other. Your little family is so cute! Nice job to Travis on the V-day surprises. What did he have engraved on your ring?
We spent Sunday morning making valentines for each other and then exchanged them that evening. It was so funny to see what the kids came up with (like Daniel to Seth: Dear Seth, I love your fake laugh)! Good for you keeping that tradtition going! The kids really do seem to love it--both the making and recieving!
What a great idea to do little mail boxes! I loved getting mail when I was little, it is so easy to forgot how the simple little things are what the kids really love and remember
that's right, T Mack...working your charm!
