Us ladies also did another craft exchange, and I got some homemade peach jam and a beautiful handsown apron.

4th of July and Sunday, Days 3 and 4
Everyone who wasn't staying at the hotel was staying a rental house. It was great to have a place where people could put babies down for naps, and where the kids could play outside. That being said, it was really hot in there!
Last years reunion highlight was our family auction. We did it again this year and it was really fun. We bid on items that people had made, found or donated. I got a watercolor my Dad had painted, some cards my brother letterpressed, a flower press that my sister-in-law and brother made, a DVD of a childhood favorite movie, and some books for the kids on the way home. Actually we got more than that, but that is just a little taste of what fun it was. We bid on things with play money that my brother made. It was so fun.
Because it was the 4th we watched fireworks from our hotel window. Gwendolyn, Zoe's only girl cousin, slept over. What a treat for us!
On Sunday we visited some dear friends, the Despains. Silas was so sweet with Felix. He was just at that age where he was fascinated by babies. I can't believe we didn't get a picture of our friends:(

G & Z are so cute cuddled in bed together. I'm stealing that photo to post on my blog so that our posts will be just that much more alike!
