We were so excited about this. I decided to throw a V-day party for Lydia and her friends. She is old enough that she will feel bad when brother and sister come home with loads of cards and candy from school. Also, did I mention that I LOVE Valentines Day?

Can you see the floor crawling with kids. I think we had at least twenty kids here. All the moms stayed (I wouldn't have attempted it otherwise) so we had good crowd control. The kids did great, no fighting. We decorated valentine boxes, ate snacks, then put valentines into boxes. As I predicted, Lydia was not excited to part with her fish. Once she saw the prizes in her box, though, she caught on.

She ate all of her candy immediatly after everyone left. She was so excited about a heart erasure she got, and carried around all day.

Can you see she is about to burst with excitement?
