Let loose the dogs of war

When we arrived at Liam's class for the last day, the teachers had put shaving cream on the tables so that the kids could sign in. It was also their water play day so they weren't too worried about getting shaving cream on the kids clothes. Well, as you may have figured out it turned into a full on shaving cream battle. The teachers were right in on it. I realize this isn't a great picture but look at the kids faces. They were having so much fun. As each child arrived, the teacher would run over and shake their hand, covering it with shaving cream. They just looked at her like she was crazy, then joined right in. I had so much fun watching these kids go totally crazy. It was refreshing to see the adults going along with it,too, instead of scolding and worrying like we so often do.

Melissa, do you remember having a flour fight at your house when we were little. We got flour everywhere. I thought it was so fun and your mom didn't even get mad. I think she joined in.

That is so funny that Kristen would write that. I was going to comment on that as well. It totally goes down in my books as one of the best moments of destruction in life that we didn't get totally busted for.

i don't remember flour fights...it DOES remind me of Mrs. Roundy, though. Man, she was fun! Remember Ray Bradbury in the dark with popcorn and the ever-present cushy-ball? yeah...good times.

Don't feel left out Kate, it was before I knew you.
Yes, the flour fight. That is something I appreciate about my parents, their lack of pride for physical things.
I am glad you guys remember that flour fight fondly. I guess it was probably 5th grade?
