Samuelson Reunion Hightlight # 1

Saturday, June 14, 2008 third annual Crane Dance/Labyrinth Walk , 1:00 p.m. Smith Park
Since this is the third year my folks have participated in the Crane Dance/Labyrinth Walk, I have heard much about it, but have never been able to attend. I had actually woke up this morning feeling pretty sick, but the day was perfect and I really wanted to be there. I won't explain the ritual, since I could never do it justice. My Dad's article can eloquently explain the "ancient celebration revived". My Dad is so cool to start this, as are the people open-minded enough to come. I loved being there with my family and seeing the children all holding hands and walking around in circles with the sun shining and the wind blowing.
Also, I got to see my wonderful friend Amy Hackworth (and we didn't get a picture!) and her boys. I was not feeling great, but this was a highlight for me. Thanks for making the sacrifice to come, Amy!
