Under the weather

For Nana's birthday on Monday after taking the kids to school we got to go to lunch. It was really nice and yummy (I finally had an appetite). We got to have dinner and cake that night. It was special to spend this day with her. We spent the next two days doing yard work. She helped us get these planters planted and lots of weeds pulled. But mostly she was able to impart to me the knowledge of what needed to be done, which was really helpful. The work we did made such a difference in our back yard!
Nana is one of the toughest people I know. She started to get sick last night. I could see it coming. I was so worried about her, because this bug was a nasty one. Well, she was positive through it all and said she didn't need any help. She is still pretty shaky and worn out today, but she did mention "I never have had anything like that in all my 86 years".
Hopefully we will still get in some fun things. Although it is suppose to be 101 degrees on Saturday.

Isn't Nana wonderful? She was so good to give us direction about our yard, too. We planted some stuff in our planter our front just last night! Hooray Spring!

I'm so sorry Nana is now sick. Yuck. We're praying for all of you.
