Translation of Note #1: "I am feeling horrible right now. My leg hurts. My body hurts. I can't open my eyes. I love you, Dad."
Translation of Note # 2: "I am shaky and my bad dreams are so scary. and of course, I love you, Dad."
Both of these notes were written to Travis on nights I was gone. Also, she wasn't "sick" when she wrote either of them. Oh the drama and manipulating of the father.
I just love that Zoe is at this age where she is sounding out words and wanting to express herself through letters. I usually find these notes the day after and try to figure out what they say. I think they are so cute and funny. It is similar to when a child is begining to learn words and uses them incorrectly. So endearing.

I did have to ask her to help with translation.

These are so incredible! I love watching these kids grow up.
I love when they start writing and you get to see more of their personalities come through. Griffin can only write a few things, but he writes BOO on everything he can get his hands on. Don't ask why, I don't know.
that is so cute! Thanks for sharing!
I love these notes. I agree with you Melissa: it's so fun to receive notes from kids. One of my favorite recent ones was from William to Will (Will didn't make it in to check on William in bed as soon as he promised.) The note started out, "Daddy, I am disappointed in you."
