Zoe and I made a receptacle to hold her offerings to the Tooth Fairy. One side holds the tooth, the other has a pocket for the money. She designed it and I made it. We really love crafting together.
Zoe is very helpful and fun. She is also having a hard time realizing that she isn't the queen of the house. I am not sure how we misled her, but she does seem surprised when she isn't allowed to dictate all the goings on of the household. She enjoys having complete control of all the actions of the other family members.
One thing I love about a blog is that I can write in a very positive and detached way about the difficult times of our lives. Then I can look at the pictures to see how wonderful it really is to be a parent.

Zoe is such a cute little girl. I love the tooth fairy bag. Was this her first tooth? What did thee tooth fairy bring her?
G also thinks she rules our house. How did this happen and what is going to happen when the two of them get together this summer?
Also, I know Zoe doesn't like big smiles, but we need to see that gap in her teeth!
Amen sister! Caleigh is the same way-she has her moments of sweetness but mostly it's best to just stay out of her way. We've learned to embrace it and hope it turns out positive in the end.
They are testing you. To see how far you will let them go in ruling the world. Kid's whose parents are afraid of them become truly outrageous, because they want secure limits (watch Supernanny.) Kids who are firmly given a place can use their "superpowers" in more constructive ways.
What beautiful children. Mom S
